Parma’s Mattia Cassani is looking forward to facing his Verona past when the two sides meet in Serie A this weekend.
“I know how much desire there is for football in Verona,” stated the Italian international. “I have lived through it.
“I started my professional career there. I was in Verona for three years and I have some beautiful memories.
“They have enthusiasm and a lot of quality in attack, but we will face them with eagerness.”
The 30-year-old moved to Parma in the summer from Fiorentina after spending a year on loan with Genoa.
“I came here with great enthusiasm and the squad gave me a good welcome,” he added. “It was easy for me and I hope I have paid back the faith of the Coach.
“There is a lot to improve and I’ll do that with effort and dedication.”
Cassani has featured in six of the Gialloblu’s seven League games so far.
